Customizing Your Character
The character creation screen in Garden Witch Life has a straightforward user interface (UI), but it offers a lot of customization options, including skin, blush, eye, and eyebrow colors. I enjoyed that I could change the saturation and hue of each to better highlight and enhance the appearance of my character.
The game offers a respectable selection of costumes and accessories; I could pick from shirts, pants, socks, shoes, hats, and earrings, among other items. Oh, and did I also mention that you have a good selection of hairstyles? You can even alter their hue, saturation, and value by coloring them! Garden Witch Life game’s character customization is so much fun!
Menu Items
On the upper-left portion of the screen, beneath the vital stats bars, are three menu items. Press J to see your current quests in the “active tasks” menu.
To view the recipes section, press the letter “R.” You can find all of the unlocked recipes here. If you find new ingredients while exploring—either by farming, finding seeds and plants in wooden chests, or interacting with NPCs—you can unlock a recipe.
To access the journal, press N. Read your character’s journal; she records all of her experiences there. The journal menu contains the following tabs:
World: gives you brief descriptions of new places you’ve discovered while exploring.
Tutorials: Very useful, especially when you explore and unlock new features and activities. Keep an eye out for new guides added to the tutorial section.
Characters: To view a character’s information page, click on them. You can see their profession, hobbies, age, gender, pronouns, and the products they sell, among other things. A brief description will also help you learn more about them. Every time you encounter a new NPC while exploring the town, this section is updated.
Player: shows the same bars for mental acuity, physical health, and endurance. Your present skill levels are listed beneath them. Engaging in the corresponding activity will help you advance your gardening, mining, and cooking skills. Thus, if all you enjoy doing is planting flowers and crops, then you should expect your gardening abilities to advance. The gardening skill level bar gradually rises as long as you continue to plant and harvest crops. A level is gained when the bar fills up.
Action Menu
The action bar, also known as the quick access menu, appears in the lower part of the screen. This is explained in the guide’s “Quick Menu Items” section. Examine it carefully! The current date, time, and season are displayed in the top right corner of the screen. A blue bar with symbols for the sun and sleep can be seen below. It illustrates how day and night cycle. When the bar fills up, your character passes out wherever they are and ends up in their bed.
