Pepper Grinder Game: Gameplay, and System Requirements
The main feature of the Pepper Grinder Game is an enormous drill that you can use to burrow through soft ground, but as a recent video demonstrates, it makes a lot of use of that basic idea. Pepper Grinder Game is shown in an exclusive Devolver gameplay walkthrough skimming across the water, hitting grappling nodes, and more.

Pepper Grinder Game Plot
With her super-powered drilling tool, “Grinder,” Pepper is a vivacious and daring girl. After being shipwrecked and having her treasure taken, Pepper needs to use her handy sidearm to get back what the cunning Narlings took from her.
With Grinder at her side, Pepper can make her way through the complex environments of the game by burrowing through water and terrain, manipulating machines to solve puzzles, and destroying any enemies that stand in her way of finding her missing fortune. Pepper will have a difficult time recovering her treasure because strange creatures are starting to surface from the shadows to confront her.
Gameplay
In the side-scrolling platform game Pepper Grinder Game, the main character uses a multipurpose drilling tool to solve puzzles, overcome obstacles, and defeat enemies across a variety of levels. “Grinder” is a versatile tool that allows users to drill through terrain to discover shortcuts and hidden areas. Pepper can use Grinder to launch herself into the air and perform incredible aerial stunts.
To overcome the various obstacles they face, Pepper must swap out Grinder drill bits while navigating obstacles, fighting different enemies, and solving puzzles. The game features platforming, fighting, and puzzle solving, with an emphasis on exploration and discovery. To discover secrets and advance in the game, players are encouraged to experiment with Grinder’s abilities.
Pepper Grinder – Steam Deck Performance
On the Steam Deck, Pepper Grinder works flawlessly, although the drilling is sometimes hit or miss. Without adjusting the settings, the battery will always drain between 6 and 8 watts, averaging 6.6 watts.
With OLED at 90 FPS, this translates to about 8 or 9 hours of battery life. You can also choose to play at 60, which will reduce the battery to 5.5W to 7W and provide a little extra battery life (the LCD will last for about 6.5–7 hours). This doesn’t surprise me, but it’s still amazing to see.
Accessibility
The game isn’t very complicated to begin with, so there aren’t many settings to adjust. You can adjust game speed, rumble, volume sliders, and screen shake—which I strongly advise against doing. You will see black bars because 16:10 resolution is not supported; however, cloud saving and full controller support are supported. No HDR settings exist.
